Statistics show 5-10% of employees cause 75-80% of business problems. The purpose of Pathways EAP is to identify those employees whose personal problems adversely affect their emotional health and job performance and to provide them with confidential, professional assistance.
The facts…Every day your employees come to work bringing with them the problems of their personal lives as they take on the challenges of the workplace. None of us leave our difficulties behind in the parking lot.

That’s why EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs) were developed decades ago. Today’s EAPs are staffed with professionals who help employees with a broad scope of problems, making them happier, more productive employees.

The solution…All Pathways EAP counseling services are provided confidentially to your employees and their families. We work with companies of 50 employees or more in Northern Illinois, and we work with affiliate EAP providers in Illinois, Iowa, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

EAP’s are an asset in the risk management arena with their ability to spot behavioral risks and to make appropriate referrals. In addition, EAP’s provide ongoing programs of prevention as well as intervention strategies that can reduce a company’s exposure to loss.

Pathways EAP provides:

  • Assessments for employees and their families
  • Solution-focused counseling
  • Information and referral
  • Case monitoring and follow-up services
  • On-site training for all supervisors
  • On-site orientation for all employees
  • Educational workshops including stress management, alcohol and drug awareness, conflict resolution and others
  • Critical incident stress debriefing services
  • Quarterly Pathways EAP newsletter for all employees
  • Posters, brochures, payroll stuffers and other promotional materials
  • Utilization reports to management

There’s no conflict of interest in using Pathways EAP services for your employees because Pathways EAP has no financial relationship or other connection with any hospital or chemical dependence treatment program.

The cost…the service costs a minimal amount per employee per month, paid for by the employer. It truly is minimal when you consider it’s protecting your most valuable asset—your employees—especially in situations where you might have to terminate an experienced employee and train a replacement.

The result…more productive, happier employees.
