Time Management tips
Suppose…
Suppose you had a bank that credited your account with $1440.00 each and
every morning on one condition – whatever part of the $1440.00 you
had failed to use during the day would be erased from your account and
no balance could be carried over. What would you do? You’d probably
use every cent, every day to your best advantage.
Well, you do have such a bank, only instead of dollars, you’re given
1440 minutes each day. And whatever portion you fail to invest in a good
purpose, you’ve lost.
Time Saving Tactics
- Make a priority list every day of things you need to accomplish.
- Make a list of tasks you can do while waiting for an appointment,
talking on the telephone or waiting in traffic.
- Start your day by getting up 30 minutes earlier than usual.
- Reduce the number of hours you spend watching television.
- Run errands during your lunch hour once a week.
- Trade childcare with a friend so you can run errands without having
to worry about the children.
- Find a way to commute to work so you can spend time reading, listening
to tapes or writing letters.
- Get a haircut that requires less care.
- Each night, select your next day’s clothes.
- Keep a time log for one week so you can see where you may be able
to save time.
