Mary Ann Norwood, M.A., LCPC
Mary Ann Norwood is Director of Pathways Employee Assistance Program. She has over twenty-two years of experience developing, managing and servicing external Employee Assistance programs in a variety of settings – Rocky Mountain HMO in Grand Junction, Colorado, and Swedish American Health Systems and Rosecrance Health Network in Rockford. Mary Ann is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She has a special interest in couples therapy and in retirement issues.

James J. Ryan, LCSW, MSW
Jim has been a therapist for over 30 years and has extensive experience with individual and group treatment with a wide variety of patient populations. His scope of practice includes treatment of relationship difficulties, fears, phobias and traumas, medical and stress disorders, men’s issues, and behavioral geriatrics. Smoking cessation, stress and pain management, thought field therapy, emotional freedom therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and clinical hypnosis are special areas of interest for Jim . He has served as a consultant to public and private agencies and corporations, and he has taught at the University of Illinois and Rockford College. He is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and he has been certified for Critical Incident Stress Management by Jeffrey T. Mitchell, PhD. Jim volunteered for the American Red Cross as a mental health disaster worker in New York City after the 9-11-01 crisis, for the victims of the Katrina crisis in 2005 and most recently, the N.I.U. shooting incident in 2008. Jim is also a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, he is a member of The National Association of Social Workers, a Diplomat in Clinical Social Work, and a clinical member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Anne Zuba, LCSW, MSW
Anne has been a Social Worker for the past 14 years, nine of which have
been in the field of Employee Assistance Counseling. Prior to her EAP
experience she worked as an In-patient Psychiatric Social Worker and
Substance Abuse Counselor at a Chicago Hospital. Most recently Anne has
obtained her certification as a School Social Worker. Special areas of
interest include; substance abuse counseling, individual, marital/couple
counseling, grief counseling, depression/anxiety disorders, and working
with adolescents. Anne has received training in alcohol and drug counseling,
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), and has worked as a Substance
Abuse Professional (SAP) with clients referred in accordance with the
Department of Transportation guidelines.
Jessica C. Dannenmaier, Psy. D.
Dr. Dannenmaier is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a registered nurse with 25 years experience. She is a graduate of Forest Institute of Professional Psychology and expertise in both out patient therapy and hospital work. She works with children and adults, her specialty being the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. She joined Pathways Center in 2004. Phone: 815-979-3211.
